WHEN: Sunday mornings 8-8.30am
PLACE: Sanctuary and or designated prayer room
PURPOSE:
What is Intercession?
We engage in prayer for the needs of the leaders in the house, congregation, your needs and the needs of others.
Intercession is warfare — the key to God’s battle plan for our lives. But the battleground is not an earthly one but spiritual. The Bible says, “We are not fighting against humans. We are fighting against forces and authorities and against rulers of darkness and spiritual powers in the heavens above” (Eph. 6:12).
Why do we Interceed
I Timothy 2:1-4
2:1: I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2:2: For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
2:3: For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour.
2:4: Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
Who can come?
All are welcome to come; we ask that you have the willingness and fervor to pray. Due to the nature and often times the complexities and magnitude of types of requests we intercede, we ask that all intercessors maintain a level of confidentiality.
Other Activities:
Time of fellowship: Three times a year, a time to have fun and get to know one another.
Prayer vigil: A time to come together for intensive warfare (designated length of time)
School of prayer: 30-minute sessions (4-6 weeks long) on basic teachings on prayer: what is, why do we, how do we pray and it’s significance.
Team building: Collaborative efforts with other ministries to assist in projects
Membership classes: Participate in welcoming new members on new members class.
